About us:
<void> is a “serious casual” raiding guild looking for a few good members for hardmode ToC content. We raid 3 nights a week for 4 hrs (Tues/Thurs/Sun, 8pm-midnight PST), but we take the time we spend raiding seriously. Our members come prepared, know the fights, and know not to stand in fire. We also work to provide a real life friendly environment. Most of our members have jobs, many have families, and we’re generally a low-drama, more mature group. We take pride in our guild’s culture, and that it’s not your typical raiding guild.
Progression-wise, we’ve knocked over everything in Ulduar 25 hardmodes except Yogg+1 and Algalon. We’re working on Anub'Arak in ToGC 25. Don’t count on any of those lasting long.
About you:
Simply put, you are an exceptional player. If you’re a tank, the Rock of Gibraltar has nothing on you - bosses flail helplessly against you. You pick up mobs like nobody’s business (unless perhaps they’re on a warlock). You are thrilled about the idea of squeezing out another 10 health from somewhere. If you’re a healer, saving the day is your bread and butter. You’re not interested in topping the healing meters, but instead landing that clutch heal – all because you know the damage pattern for the fight. You understand the relative strengths of each of the healing classes and how they work best separately and in combination. If you’re dps, you popped out of your mother’s womb flasked up and already topping the DM. Not only do you handle your raid utility, but you put up mindblowing numbers without pulling aggro. You hit so hard bosses pray we extend the raid lockout so they don’t have to see you next week.
Regardless of role, we are looking for equal parts guild fit as well as performance. Not only do you excel at your role, but you want to be part of a tight-knit team focused on progression together. Most of the members know each other in real life, and <void> is as much a social club as it is a raiding machine that churns out boss kills and epics. We are typically low turnover, and being a team player is key.
Classes we are looking for:
We have specific needs currently for:
- Resto Shaman
- Disc/Holy Priest
- Tank DK
Lower priority:
- Warlock
- Ret Paladin
We will always consider truly exceptional players of any class.
Sounds good! Now what?
If <void> sounds like a good fit for you, please fill out an application: http://void.guildomatic.com/guild_application/apply. You can also ping an officer (Gisele, Yosarian, Ketura) in-game with any questions you have.
Looking forward to hearing from you! _________________ http://omgwtfbbqpwn.members.winisp.net |

The Progression Raid Group
The progression raid group (prog) is one of the top groups on Spirestone while maintaining a 3-night-a-week raid schedule --- Tuesday, Thusday, and Sunday --- from 7:45 to 12:00 server (PST).
We ask for less time than other guilds but consequently ask more of our raiders whom are all dedicated to min-maxing their characters and keeping up with the latest theorycraft and boss strategies. Because of this, our raids are brutally efficient yet fun and engaging.
You can view the prog team's progress at wowprogress.
The Open Raid Group
The open raid group (osrt) is our casual raid force that runs 25-man content two nights a week --- Tuesday and Thursday --- from 7:45 to 12:00 server (PST).
Even though osrt raids two nights a week, our priority is still making progress through new content. We ask that our raiders come prepared with consumables, gear, and competency and in return we work on the latest content while making sure everyone gets some play time and has fun.
Currently osrt is working on the Northrend Beasts encounter in Heroic ToGC 25.
Other Raids
In addition, both raid groups regularly run 10-man content and older 25-man content on off-nights to sate the raiding desires of those with more time to spare. Note that these raids are not part of the official raid schedule and thus not required of our members.
Guild Culture
We pride ourselves on the people in our guild and the culture we've fostered over the last three years. Due to our unique background, the average Voidian runs from college student to the industry professional. As a result, we have a guild atmosphere that is relaxed, mature (but not G-rated), and down-to-earth yet remains fun. Maintaining that culture is a priority for both raid groups and the guild as a whole.
Process
<void> raid leaders regularly screen applications. If we find your application promising, then we will contact you for a follow-up interview and/or pre-trial raid. Note that due to the volume of applications we receive, we do not guarantee that you will receive a reply if your application is rejected.
Pending the results of the interview/raid, we will extend a 2-week trial period to you. At the end of the trial period, the officers make a final call on your membership.
Prog Recruiting and OSRT
When spots open up in the progression raid group, we first turn to osrt to see if anyone wants to step up to the increased raid commitment. In some cases, we will screen/interview applicants that are a good fit for the guild and want to be in the prog group but do not otherwise meet prog's current needs (because of gear, experience, or openings).
In these situations, we will offer a progression applicant the option of joining osrt with the expectation that they will move up to prog when they meet the requirements. Note that this is not a binding contract; such a player can choose to stay with osrt if they prefer it.
Cross-server Applicants
We encourage and welcome applicants from other servers. The cross-server recruitment process is identical to our intra-server process with a few exceptions:
+ Since we will not be able to run a pre-trial group with you, please make sure that your included WWSes and references showcase your raiding credentials.
+ We will ask you to transfer only after we decide to start the two-week trial process following our standard interview.
+ Even though you transfer servers, we offer no guarantees that you will remain with the guild after the trial expires. For this reason, we are generally more demanding of our cross-server applicants during the interview process.
